Message From The
Chairperson, Governing council And The director General, Burea Of NGOs
This dynamic and visionary organization has evolved over
20years and has come of age. We therefore represent a laboratory
that discerns what works and what does not. With a 15 member
board of distinguished states men and women that cuts across all
professions that meets 4 times a year, and together with the other
full time managers, we have succeeded in developing a culture of
excellence whereby the only language we understand and speak is
"outstanding performance". We have indeed develop and sharpened
our skills to make our clients feel and become important. To the
progressive people here at Mount Zion Women Center, the events of women past oppression and
other negativities are less important than our responses to them
an this explains why we look at things here and ask why not? And
because we derive our hope and strength from the
determination, selfless and courage or our disadvantaged women and
girls, we are always inspired to increase their self esteem. And
if not to save a drowning hand that is raised, why did the Holy
Books admonish us to be each others helpers in times of need or
trouble?
We are gallant women of vision and courage who fight for
justice without counting the cost despite great risk to ourselves
by overthrowing stereotypes that have been built over centuries,
and thereby transforming helplessness to hope though human
resources development and employment creation programs. We love
what we are doing here.
However, the problem is that there are
large areas of life in developing countries such as ours that does
not attract entrepreneurs and profit making organizations. These
marginalized and neglect areas are taken up by charitable
organizations such as ours. It is therefore hoped that you will
encourage our effort by responding very swiftly to our requests so
that we can further improve and extend our services to meet
increasing demand.
As prudent and cost effective managers, we
here all believe in one thing in life: that one can get everything
he or she desires if he one she helps enough other people get what
they want. As we continue to make unending and enormous sacrifices
for these disadvantaged, deprived women and girls most of whom
have resigned their life to fate, it is hoped that this natural law
will be fair to us, so that by our effort, together, we will rise
to the needs of humanity.
Finally, let us together with
enthusiasm and generosity meet on the Mount Zion to offer hope,
mercy and refuge to these less privilege women and girls.
Thank
you all and God bless you for what you will do as we prepare to
meet in Mount Zion, the seat or mercy, refuge and hope.
